Joseph Schwarten – 3D/Digital/Video Game Artist
I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, at the age of around 8 I played a game called Wing Commander by Origin Systems. After seeing what was done in that game I knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. Eventually I went to Shawnee State Unveristy and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Video Game/Simulation Arts and Design. My current position is 3D Artist/Content Developer for YEI Technology. I am in charge of everything “art wise” going into the final versions of the games that will be accompanying PrioVR’s launch.
Before that I was asked to be an Adjunct Professor at Shawnee State University. There I taught the introductory classes to the digital arts. This included teaching the basics of pixel and vector based art as well the basics of 3D design. Before that I also worked for Hyperkat games where we released Mars Colony:Challenger which is available on Steam.
As a 3D/Digital/Video Game artist, I use my artistic and technical skills mixed with passion to create and design, often using programs such Autodesk Maya, Motion Builder, Mudbox, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Pixologic Zbrush, Unity, Unreal and anything else I can get my hands on. I try not to be limited.
I draw upon my wide array of skills including modeling, texture mapping, graphic design, user interface, motion capture, sculpting and much more to always contribute gratefully to any project I work on.
I hope you enjoy my work and even if you don’t, please contact me. I always like to hear what people think about my work.
